Abstract
Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of auricular tip bloodletting therapy in reducing blood pressure and improving symptoms in hypertensive patients with different traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome types. Methods:A total of 143 patients with grade 2/3 hypertension were enrolled, and according to TCM syndrome differentiation, they were divided into liver-fire excess group with 60 patients,Yin-deficiency and Yang-hyperactivity group with 48 patients,phlegm-dampness stagnation group with 20 patients, and Yin-Yang deficien-cy group with 15 patients. All patients underwent bilateral auricular tip bloodletting therapy, and blood pressure and TCM syndrome score were observed before treatment and at 15 minutes,30 minutes, and 1 hour after treatment.Re-sults:Auricular tip bloodletting therapy had an overall response rate of 81.8%(117/143)in reducing blood pres-sure and 72.0%(103/143)in improving symptoms, and the liver-fire excess group had a response rate of 100.0%(60/60)for improving TCM syndrome and reducing blood pressure, with a significantly better response rate than the other groups(P<0.01).At 15 minutes after treatment, there was a significant reduction in blood pressure in the liver-fire excess group, the Yin-deficiency and Yang-hyperactivity group, and the phlegm-dampness stagnation group, while the Yin-Yang deficiency group had a significant reduction in blood pressure at 30 minutes after treatment. At 1 hour after treatment, all groups except the Yin-Yang deficiency group had a significant reduc-tion in blood pressure. Conclusion:Auricular tip bloodletting therapy effectively improves symptoms and lowers blood pressure in hypertensive patients with different TCM syndrome types, with a significant effect on patients with liver-fire excess syndrome, and therefore,it can be used as an effective adjunctive emergency treatment for hyper-tension management.关键词
