摘要

Abstract

[Purpose]This study explored the effects of low phosphorus treatments on the phenology and growth rhythm of Chinese fir seedlings to reveal the adaptive response mechanisms of Chinese fir under low phosphorus stress,thus providing a theoretical ba-sis for the cultivation of Chinese fir plantations.[Method]A sand culture controlled experiment was conducted with one-year-old Chinese fir seedlings.Two treatments—normal phosphorus supply(0.5 mmol·L-1 KH2PO4)and low phosphorus stress(0.25 mmol·L-1 KH2PO4)—were designed.Phenological cameras were used to continuously observe phenological indicators such as leaf bud expansion,leaf unfolding,and new shoot growth of Chinese fir seedlings.The seedling height,ground diameter,biomass,and root growth indicators were measured.[Result]Low phosphorus stress significantly delayed and shortened the phenological phases(except the dormant period)of Chinese fir.It postponed leaf bud expansion,leaf unfolding,and new shoot growth by 7 days,6 days,and 1 day and shortened the corresponding duration by 1 day,5 days,and 7 days,respectively.Furthermore,the stress ad-vanced the dormancy stage by 6 days and prolonged the stage by 13 days.The growth of seedling height and ground diameter was in-hibited under low phosphorus stress,with lower monthly average growth than that under normal phosphorus supply.The aboveground biomass and total biomass decreased under low phosphorus stress.However,the root volume,root surface area,root branch number,and belowground biomass significantly increased under low phosphorus stress,and the late stage of root growth was extended by a-bout one month.[Conclusion]Low phosphorus stress affects the phenology and growth rhythm of Chinese fir seedlings by delaying phenological phases,inhibiting aboveground growth,and promoting root development.This induces Chinese fir to adapt to phosphor-us-deficient environments by adjusting biomass allocation strategies.
