Progress on the diagnosis and treatment of diabetes mellitus and concomitant carpal tunnel syndrome
摘要
Abstract
Carpal tunnel syndrome is one of the complications of diabetes mellitus,leading pain,numbness,and paresthesia in the area innervated by the median nerve,accompanied or not by muscle weakness.In recent years,it has gained increasing attention.This complication is closely related to diabetic peripheral neuropathy,the two can coexist and influence each other.Timely and accurate diagnosis and treatment can effectively alleviate hand symptoms and restore hand function in patients with diabetes mellitus and concomitant carpal tunnel syndrome,which is of great significance for delaying disease progression.This paper primarily elucidates the pathogenesis,diagnosis,and treatment of diabetes mellitus and concomitant carpal tunnel syndrome,aiming to deepen the understanding on diabetes mellitus and concomitant carpal tunnel syndrome in clinical practice.关键词
