Abstract
[Objective]Water quality assessment is the foundation of water environment management and holds significant importance for water environment governance planning and water resource utilization.A comprehensive evaluation study on the raw water quality of Mopanshan Reservoir is crucial for protecting the ecological safety of Mopanshan Reservoir and ensuring the water supply security for residents in Harbin City.[Methods]This paper took the raw water of Mopanshan Reservoir as the research object,based on continuous 9 years of water quality monitoring data from 2015 to 2023.Six water quality indices—pH,dissolved oxygen(DO),permanganate index,chemical oxygen demand(COD),ammonia nitrogen,and total phosphorus(TP)—were selected as characteristic indices.By analyzing the changes in these water quality indices concentrations and using the comprehensive water quality index method,this study comprehensively evaluated the raw water quality of Mopanshan Reservoir,revealing the patterns of water quality changes and the overall water quality status.[Results]The analysis of the changes in water quality index concentrations showed that the raw water concentration at Mopanshan Reservoir generally followed seasonal patterns.During the summer flood season,the water quality slightly declined,mainly due to temperature and rainfall.The trends in DO and permanganate index concentrations were opposite,while the trends in permanganate index and COD concentrations were almost identical.The comprehensive water quality index method research results indicated that the compliance rate for water environment function zones at Mopanshan Reservoir was 99.1%.This method could objectively reflect the overall water quality status and was suitable for water quality assessment in this region.[Conclusion]Overall,the comprehensive water quality of Mopanshan Reservoir's raw water is good,but there are still instances where the water quality exceeds standards in certain months.Water source safety issues still require attention,and relevant measures should be taken based on actual conditions to ensure the safety of the water source.关键词
