Application of Precise Aeration and Intelligent Chemical Dosing System Based on Simuwater Model in WWTP

Abstract
[Objective]Aeration and dosing systems,as the core processes of wastewater biochemical treatment,have a decisive impact on achieving the strategic goal of energy conservation and consumption reduction in wastewater treatment plants(WWTPS).The traditional aeration and dosing systems are limited by the complex biochemical reaction kinetics and hydraulic retention time(HRT)factors in the wastewater treatment process,resulting in nonlinear and large time delay characteristics,which seriously restrict the precise control and stable operation of the system.[Methods]This paper took a northern city WWTP as the example,based on the improved Bardenpho process,and used the Simuwater model to construct a precise aeration and intelligent dosing system based on the"feedforward+model+feedback"control logic.The operating effects of the system before and after operation were compared and analyzed.[Results]After operation of the system,even if the influent quality fluctuated greatly,the effluent quality of the WWTP could still remain stable and meet the standard.The analysis results showed that the average chemical oxygen demand(COD)concentration of effluent decreased by 9.06%,ammonia nitrogen concentration decreased by 2.27%,total nitrogen(TN)concentration decreased by 16.49%,and total phosphorus(TP)concentration decreased by 47.82%,significantly improving the treatment capacity and efficiency of pollutants.The dissolved oxygen(DO)in the aerobic zone of the biological pool could be stably controlled under system regulation,with a target DO mass concentration of 1.92 mg/L,stability D2 of 0.42,D5 of 0.86,and D10 of 0.99(D2,D5 and D10 represented the probabilities that the DO vodue fell within the ranges of±0.2 mg/L,±0.5 mg/L and±0.1 mg/L of the target value,respectively),which were completely superior to the requirements of quantitative evaluation standards.After the system runned,the aeration energy consumption was reduced by 10%and the dosage of chemicals was reduced by 11%,significantly reducing operating costs.[Conclusion]The application of precise aeration and intelligent dosing systems can achieve precise control of DO,minimize aeration energy consumption and carbon source dosing consumption,help WWTP achieve energy-saving and consumption reduction goals,and achieve refined operation management while ensuring stable and compliant effluent water quality.关键词
