Abstract
[Objective]An existing 30 000 m³/d water treatment plant in a mountainous area of Fujian Province required demolition and reconstruction due to aging facilities and unstable water quality.The project addresses the complex ridge terrain and dual-reservoir water sources through multi-dimensional analysis and process optimization.[Methods]Water quality tests for Luocui Reservoir(backup source)and Huangshakeng Reservoir(main source)shows both meet class Ⅲ standards of the Environmental Quality Standards for surface Water(GB 3838-2002),determining the sludge treatment system scale as 0.84 t Ds/d.Based on hourly water supply data from the existing plant,the hourly variation coefficient is calculated as 1.54,with a design value of 1.6 to meet actual demands.Facing significant topographic elevation differences on the ridge,a"terraced"dual-platform layout is adopted:the upper platform(405.30 m)for water treatment structures and the lower platform(391.50 m)for sludge treatment,utilizing gravity flow via terrain height differences.A combination of anchor-pulled pile-sheet walls,counterfort walls,and other support forms ensures structural safety while reducing slope support costs by 32.5%.The scheme includes a comprehensive chemical dosing room equipped with three dosing systems for polyaluminium chloride(PAC),polyacrylamide(PAM),and sodium hypochlorite,enabling the dosing of coagulant,flocculant,and disinfectant.A segmented water distribution overflow well linked new and existing clean water tanks,allocating 18 000,8 000,4 000 m³ per day to achieve a total regulation rate of 17.2%,leveraging existing facilities and saving approximately 3 million yuan in investment.[Results]With a total investment of 58.57 million yuan(1 952 yuan/ton),the WTP's effluent meet strict standards:turbidity 0.2 NTU,residual chlorine 0.61 mg/L,and total colonies<1 CFU/mL,surpassing the old WTP's performance.Sludge output matches the design,with a moisture content≤80%after dewatering.[Conclusion]The project overcomes technical and economic challenges of ridge construction through terrain-adaptive design,facility integration,and process innovation,providing a systematic reference for similar mountain WTPs in water source configuration,vertical layout,and resource integration.关键词
