Design and Mechanical Analysis of Anti-flipping Clamp for Drone-assisted Grounding Line Installation and Removal in Ultra and Extra-high Voltage Transmission Lines

Abstract
During the maintenance and inspection of ultra-high and extra-high voltage transmission lines,grounding clamp components are prone to overturning under the combined effects of gravity and wind load,which in turn affects the operational efficiency of drone-based grounding line installation and removal.To address this issue,a grounding clamp design based on a deformable telescopic rod and counterweight is proposed,which is suitable for grounding clamps used in ultra-high and extra-high voltage drone operations.The mechanical structure of the anti-overturning clamp is developed,followed by the establishment of a mechanical model for large deflection deformation of the telescopic rod.The maximum horizontal displacement of the rod under load is derived,and an iterative calculation method for horizontal displacement is introduced.The results indicate that the anti-overturning capacity of the clamp is influenced by factors such as the length and number of telescopic rod segments,inner and outer diameters,elastic modulus,wall thickness,and end-load.Designers can select the most appropriate parameters based on specific operating conditions.The proposed design offers theoretical support for the anti-overturning design,enhancing the efficiency of drone tasks and showing promising application potential.关键词
