Abstract

Taking the teaching model of printed circuit board(PCB)design as focal point,the research results of PCB design teaching mode at home and abroad are summarized,the persistent challenges in vocational education of the"disconnect between skills competitions and classroom teaching"are addressed,and viable pathways for integrating vocational skills competitions with professional course instruction are explored.By drawing on the evaluation criteria from recent National Advanced Drawing Competitions and aligning them with industry-specific requirements in PCB engineering,the course Power Circuit Design is employed as a practical platform to develop a four-stage integrated teaching model:"Competition Orientation""Modular Learning""Observation and Practice"and"Evaluation and Optimization".Specifically,"Competition Orientation"anchors core competency goals of relevant skills competitions;"Modular Learning"deconstructs circuit functional partitions and establishes logical connections between schematics and PCB layouts;"Observation and Practice"emphasizes full-process design using AD software,strengthening standardized engineering operations;"Evaluation and Optimization"builds a hierarchical indicator system that bridges competition standards and production needs,achieving a closed loop of"Objective-Learning-Practice-Feedback".In the course of implementing this model,Shantou Polytechnic achieved remarkable results:its award rate(for second prize and above)in the electronics category of the"GAO JIAO BEI"competitions has increased by 19%,and the pass rate for relevant skill certifications has reached 88%.This has successfully delivered the teaching effect of"promoting teaching through competitions,driving learning via competitions,and integrating competitions with courses".
