Abstract
A laser frequency modulation method using a series acousto-optic modulator is proposed to achieve optical frequency calibration of a wide frequency range laser vibrometer.By directly using a radio frequency signal source to generate a frequency modulation(FM)voltage signal,which is then used to control an acousto-optic modulator,a single frequency laser is converted into an FM optical frequency signal waveform to simulate the laser Doppler effect generated by vibration.The laser vibrometer is calibrated and its value can trace to the time-frequency value of the FM voltage signal.Multiple calibration experiments on a heterodyne laser vibrometer have verified the correctness and feasibility of this method.When the calibration speed is 5 m/s,the vibration frequency can reach 500 kHz with distortion lower than 2.3%,and it is far exceeding the upper limit of 100 kHz vibration frequency that can be generated by current mechanical vibrations.关键词
