Calibration Method for Frequency Shift Parameter of Brillouin Optical Time-domain Reflectometer Based on Electro-optic Modulation

Abstract
A frequency shift parameter calibration method is proposed for Brillouin optical time-domain reflectometer based on electro-optic modulation technology.The microwave signal is loaded onto the optical signal in a double-sided band modulation manner and power attenuation is performed to simulate the Brillouin frequency shift signal generated in actual fiber optic links.By adjusting the frequency of the input signal of the microwave source,the frequency of the modulation sideband signal is adjusted to achieve calibration of Brillouin frequency shift parameters at different frequency points within large frequency range.According to experimental verification and uncertainty analysis,the measurement uncertainty of the Brillouin frequency shift is 0.04 MHz(k=2),which meets the traceability requirements of the Brillouin frequency shift for Brillouin optical time-domain reflectometer.关键词
