数字乡村试点对农业碳排放的影响
Impacts of digital rural pilot projects on agricultural carbon emissions
摘要
Abstract
Most existing literatures emphasized the economic empowerment effects of digital rural pilot projects, while their impacts on agricultural carbon emissions remained underexplored.Using panel data spanning 2000 to 2023 across 1 973 Chinese counties, this study treated digital rural pilots as a quasi-natural experiment and utilized a DID model to evaluate their carbon reduction impacts and mechanisms. The findings revealed that digital rural pilots significantly decreased agricultural carbon intensity through agricultural modernization and government-led collaborative reductions.Heterogeneity analysis showed regional disparities, with better environmental baselines, higher public awareness, and stronger regional cooperation enhancing emission reduction effects.Spatial spillover effects were evident, with industry transfer facilitating the relocation of high-emission sources away from pilot areas. This research demonstrates that digital rural initiatives effectively reduce agricultural carbon emissions and highlights the importance of integrating digital technologies with green transformation efforts.关键词
