电针联合西药治疗肾阳亏虚型弱精子症的疗效观察及对精液ERK1/2、P38MAPK蛋白水平的影响
Therapeutic observation of electroacupuncture plus Western medicine for asthenospermia due to kidney Yang deficiency and the effects on ERK1/2 and P38MAPK protein levels in semen

Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of electroacupuncture(EA)combined with Western medicine in treating patients with asthenospermia due to kidney Yang deficiency.Method Eighty-two patients with asthenospermia due to kidney Yang deficiency were randomized into an observation group and a control group,with 41 cases in each group.Another 5 healthy males were enrolled as a normal group.The observation group was treated with EA combined with Western medicine,and the control group was intervened with sham EA plus Western medicine.Before and after the intervention,the two groups were observed changes in semen analysis(semen volume,sperm density,sperm survival rate,and sperm motility)and traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)symptom score.The clinical efficacy was compared between the two groups.Also,the protein levels of extracellular regulated protein kinases(ERK1/2)and P38 mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)were determined in the three groups.Result The semen volume and sperm density increased in the observation and control groups after the treatment(P＜0.05),and the between-group differences were statistically insignificant(P＞0.05).After the intervention,the sperm survival rate and sperm motility increased in the observation and control groups(P＜0.05)and were higher in the observation group than in the control group(P＜0.05).A decreased TCM symptom score was observed in both observation and control groups after the intervention(P＜0.05),and the score was lower in the observation group than in the control group(P＜0.05).A total effective rate of 87.2%was achieved in the observation group,higher than 61.5%in the control group(P＜0.05).Before the treatment,the observation and control groups had higher semen protein levels of ERK1/2 and P38MAPK compared to the normal group(P＜0.05).After the treatment,the semen protein levels of ERK1/2 and P38MAPK dropped in the observation and control groups(P＜0.05)and were lower in the observation group than in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion EA plus Western medicine can improve semen quality and elevate sperm motility in patients with asthenospermia;the mechanism may be associated with intervening in the ERK1/2 and P38MAPK signal pathways.关键词
