Effect of Different Resin Matrices on Mechanical Properties of Glass Fiber Reinforced Composite Frame

Abstract
In order to explore the influence of resin matrix on the mechanical properties of glass fiber reinforced composite frames,the glass fiber reinforced composite frames prepared by ethylene resin,polyurethane resin,acrylic-polyurethane resin and modified polyurethane resin were used.The mechanical properties of different resin matrix composite frames were compared by tensile test,flexural test and shear test,and the relationship between the interface between resin matrix and glass fiber and mechanical properties was analyzed by scanning electron microscopy.The results showed that the mechanical properties were mainly affected by the compactness of the matrix and the interfacial bonding between the matrix and the glass fiber.Compared with ethylene resin,the compactness of polyurethane and acrylic-polyurethane resin matrix and the interfacial bonding strength with glass fiber were better,and the mechanical properties were higher than those of ethylene resin composite frame.The addition of modified resin to polyurethane resin can further increase the compactness of the matrix and the interfacial bonding strength with glass fiber,and effectively improve the comprehensive mechanical properties.关键词
