Effect of Ultrasonic External Field on Structure and Properties of SiO2 Cassava Starch Composites with Different Surface Properties

Abstract
The relationship between the structure and properties of thermoplastic starch/different surface properties silicon dioxide(TPS/SiO2)composites under ultrasonic external field and its influencing mechanism are still unclear.In the study,TPS/SiO2 composites were prepared by a torque rheometer,and the multi-scale structure and properties of thermoplastic starch(TPS)composites with hydrophilic SiO2(H10)and hydrophobic SiO2(L12)were analyzed after ultrasonic treatment.The results show that ultrasonic treatment will reduce the thermal stability of TPS matrix,but the introduction of H10 can significantly improve the thermal stability of materials by constructing a network structure.Microstructure characterization shows that ultrasonic treatment can lead to H10 agglomeration and induce micropores in the materials.Ultrasonic treatment promotes the rearrangement of starch molecular chain,and changes the crystal structure from C+VH+VA type to EH+VH type,and the contact angle of starch composites decreases.The study clarifies the synergistic mechanism between the surface properties of inorganic fillers and ultrasonic treatment,which provides a new idea for the functional design of starch-based composites.关键词
