Research Progress on Toxicity of Micro/Nano-plastics to Plants
摘要
Abstract
Microplastics and nanoplastics(MPs/NPs)have emerged as emerging global pollutants.Due to their extremely small size,they can be ingested by a wide range of organisms,and nanoscale microplastics may even cross certain biological barriers.The absorption and subsequent transport of MPs/NPs in plants can alter the morphological,physiological,biochemical,and genetic characteristics of plants to varying degrees.However,there are few studies on the way MPs/NPs enter plants and the factors affecting plant toxicity levels.Therefore,it is urgent to understand the potential adverse effects of micro-nano plastic pollutants on plant growth and development.The article focuses on the accumulation and transport pathways of MPs/NPs in plant tissues,as well as the factors affecting the intensity of plant stress,and studies the stress response of different physiological tissues of plants to micro-and nanoscale plastic particles,aiming to provide a reference for the risk prevention,control and management of microplastic pollution in plant ecosystems.关键词
