Latent classes and influencing factors of physical activity levels in hospitalized diabetic nephropathy patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis

Abstract
Objective:To explore the latent classes of physical activity levels in hospitalized diabetic nephropathy patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis,and to probe into its the influencing factors of each.Methods:A total of 287 diabetic nephropathy patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis in our hospital from January 2022 to June 2024 were selected as the study subjects.The adjusted activity score of Human Activity Profile was used to assess the patients'physical activity levels at admission,1 month,3 months,and 6 months after hospitalization.The optimal number of latent classes was determined using growth mixture model.The latent classes were named.Univariate and multivariate analyses were employed to explore the influencing factors of physical activity levels.Results:The physical activity levels of the 287 diabetic nephropathy patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis could be categorized into three latent classes.The low activity level-slow recovery contained 74 cases(25.8%).The moderate activity level-slight decline contained 148 cases(51.6%).The high activity level-sustained growth contained 65 cases(22.6%).Age,gender,negative emotions,malnutrition,dialysis frequency,dialysis mode,and fatigue status were influencing factors of physical activity levels in these patients(P<0.05).Conclusions:Physical activity levels vary among diabetic nephropathy patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis.High-risk patients could be identified early based on the influencing factors.Personalized nursing measures should be arranged for patients as early as possible to improve their physical activity levels.关键词
