摘要

Abstract

To investigate the seismic performance of a typical four-span railway bridge in China,a real bridge in China is selected as the research object,and refined finite element modeling is conducted using Midas Civil software.Fifteen seismic records that meet the engineering geological conditions of the bridge are retrieved from the Pacific Earthquake Engineering Research Center(PEER)database based on the target spectrum.The displacement at the pier top is taken as the quantitative index of damage for the continuous beam bridge.The Incremental Dynamic Analysis(IDA)method is employed to conduct nonlinear time-history analysis on the bridge structure.The frequencies of falling into each damage level are counted and their percentages are calculated.Based on the logarithmic linear regression analysis of the capacity demand ratio,the vulnerability curve is plotted.Finally,the system vulnerability curve of the entire bridge is established through the First-Order Bounds Method.The research results indicate that the probabilities of slight and moderate damage occurring to the border piers(Pier 1#and Pier 5#)are slightly higher than those of the main piers(Pier 2#,Pier 3#,and Pier 4#).However,the probabilities of severe and collapse damage for the main piers are significantly higher than those of the border piers.When the maximum peak acceleration set in this study is reached,the probabilities of collapse damage are respectively 16.98%,32.03%,64.58%,41.81%,and 26.09%.Furthermore,the failure probability of the bridge system is higher than that of a single component,suggesting that conducting vulnerability analysis solely on individual components is inadequate for ensuring the safe design of the structure.
