Abstract

Taking the connecting passage project between Xianxia Road Station and Zhanqian Road Station on Hefei Metro Line 3 as the background,the MIDAS GTS NX software is used to conduct an in-depth analysis of the surface settlement,existing tunnel segment settlement,and segment horizontal convergence induced by the upper and lower step method of the connecting passage.The research results indicate that the settlement curves of both the ground surface and tunnel segments induced by the excavation of the connecting passage exhibit a"U"-shaped distribution,while the horizontal convergence curve of the segments roughly follows an inverted"U"-shaped pattern.The maximum values of ground surface settlement,segment settlement,and segment horizontal convergence reach 3.21 mm,4.19 mm,and 0.53 mm,respectively.In the construction direction,the connecting passage is excavated from the left line to the right line of the tunnel.Through comparative analysis of simulation results and measured data,it is found that the left line of the tunnel is more affected than the right line by this construction process,and the closer the excavation area of the connecting passage is to the existing tunnel,the greater the influence on the tunnel is observed.It is particularly noteworthy that the opening of the connecting passage in the left-line tunnel is identified as the location with the largest deformation in the existing tunnel,where the horizontal convergence value of the segment is also found to be the maximum.The research results can be utilized as technical reference and practical guidance for similar connecting passage excavation projects.
