骨科失能老年人生活自理能力评估体系的构建及应用
Development and application of self-care ability assessment system for disabled older adults in orthopedic department

Abstract
Objective:To establish a self-care ability assessment system for disabled older adults in orthopedic department.and explore its application effect.Methods:A total of 50 disabled older adults in orthopedic department who were discharged from a hospital in Yichang city spanned from January to December 2023 were selected as the study subjects using a convenience sampling method.The older adults were randomly divided into an intervention group and a control group.The control group(20 cases)received routine care interventions,while the intervention group(30 cases)received interventions guided by the self-care ability assessment system for disabled older adults in orthopedic department.After the intervention,the Barthel Index and the Functional Independence Measure(FIM)scale were used to assess the activities of daily living(ADL)in both groups.Results:The scores of both the Barthel Index and the FIM scale in the intervention group were higher than those in the control group.There were statistically significant differences in terms of the scores(all P<0.05).Conclusions:Applying the self-care ability assessment system for disabled older adults in orthopedic department to guide nursing interventions for home-based disabled older adults is beneficial for improving their ability in activities of daily living.关键词
