摘要

Abstract

Objective To evaluate the application value of energy-based mucosal incision combined with continuous through-and-through suture during septoplasty.Methods 71 patients with deviated nasal septum undergoing endoscopicseptoplasty were selected and divided into experimental group(42 cases,energy-based mucosal incision combined with continuous through-and-through suture)and control group(29 cases,sharp mucosal incision with a scalpel and simple nasal packing).The pain scores,nasal congestion scores and occurrence of complications after surgery were compared between the two groups.Results The scores of pain and nasal congestion on the 3rd and 7th day after surgery in the experimental group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Following up for 1 month after surgery,no statistically significant difference was found in the incidence of postoperative complications between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions Energy-based mucosal incision combined with continuous through-and-through suture applied in septoplasty can significantly improve the postoperative pain and nasal congestion,without increase of the risk of postoperative complications.
