Optimal Parameter Selection for Transesophageal Atrial Pacing in the Diagno-sis and Treatment of Paroxysmal Supraventricular Tachycardia and Its Impact on Clinical Efficacy

Abstract
Objective To explore the optimal parameter selection in transesophageal atrial pacing for the diagnosis and treatment of paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia(PSVT)and its impact on clinical efficacy.Methods A total of 70 patients with highly suspected PSVT requiring transesophageal atrial pacing admitted to our hospital from April 2024 to June 2025 were selected.Among them,30 patients in whom supraventricular tachycardia was successfully induced were set as group A,and another 30 patients with confirmed PSVT who required transesophageal atrial pacing for immediate termination were set as group B.The catheter insertion and pacing parameters,electrophysiological parameters,and induction or termination outcomes were compared between the two groups.Results No statistical difference was found in the catheter insertion depth,operating voltage,and pacing threshold between the two groups(P>0.05).No significant difference was found in the sinoatrial conduction time,sinus node recovery time,AV node wenckebach point,AV node 2∶1 block point and effective refractory period of atrium between the two groups(P>0.05).The success rate of induction/termination of the group B was higher than that of group A(P<0.05).No significant difference was found in the induction/termination window time,operation time,and induction type between the two groups(P>0.05).The main type of successful termination/induction was AVNRT.Conclusions Transesophageal atrial pacing for PSVT patients has good therapeutic effect,especially with a higher success rate during termination.Reasonable selection of stimulation parameters can effectively induce and terminate tachycardia,providing an important method for clinical diagnosis and treatment.关键词
