Abstract
Chinese medicine Qinghao(Herba Artemisiae Annuae)is internationally renowned due to the discovery of its derivative artemisinin,and is widely used in the antipyretic treatment of internal injuries and miscellaneous diseases.However,this breakthrough achievement also has obscured its traditional medicinal value to a certain extent.Modern pharmacological studies have confirmed that Qinghao has multi-target mechanisms such as anti-inflammatory response,antibacterial,anti-tumor,and antiviral,and especially shows unique advantages in the adjuvant treatment of malignant tumors.However,it is noteworthy that traditional effects recorded in Shennong Bencao Jing(《神农本草经》),such as treating scabies,treating scab and itch,removing sore,killing lice,eliminating heat between joints,and brightening the eyes,have not been systematically explained,and the records related to surgery in modern and contemporary literature have been significantly reduced.Based on the theoretical framework of"Faxiang thinking"(namely form-image analogical reasoning)in traditional Chinese medicine,this study revealed the efficacy characteristics of Qinghao through multi-dimensional correlation analysis,in order to better interpret the action path of Qinghao in the body.The study focused on the Faxiang(namely form-image)elements of Qinghao,such as the growing environment,phenological characteristics,harvest season,shape,color and odor.Specifically,based on its ecological habit of preferring sunlight and avoiding shade,its characteristics of drying dampness and removing pathogenic factors were expounded.The medicinal characteristics of light,clearing,ascending,and dispersing were deduced by analyzing the morphological characteristics of multiple branches of stem and leaf.Combined with the harvest seasonal characteristics of picking seedlings in spring and summer and collecting seeds in autumn and winter,the efficacy of clearing away latent heat was demonstrated.Through the medicinal characteristics of pungency and bitter tastes and cold property,it was revealed that it had a bidirectional regulation mechanism of both expelling external pathogenic factors and clearing away internal heat.This cross research based on traditional cognitive model and modern research methods not only provides empirical basis for interpreting traditional Chinese medicine thinking such as"nourishing-form by form"and"making analogical classifications according to the characteristics of things",but also helps to construct an evaluation system in line with traditional Chinese medicine theory,promoting the expansion of clinical application of Qinghao in the fields of skin diseases and immune regulation,and achieving the organic integration of traditional wisdom and modern technology.关键词
