Integrated management of cardiovascular-kidney-metabolic syndrome guided by the state-targeting theory proposed by TONG Xiaolin

Abstract
Cardiovascular-kidney-metabolic(CKM)syndrome is a complex systemic disorder caused by the interaction of cardiovascular disease,chronic kidney disease,and metabolic disorders.Based on the"state-targeting theory"proposed by Academician TONG Xiaolin,this study systematically establishes a five-state dynamic diagnosis and treatment system for CKM syndrome,i.e.,steady state,congested state,heat state,stasis state,and deficiency state.Steady state(stage 0)focuses on"preventing disease before its onset"by reinforcing healthy qi through lifestyle regulation(balanced diet,regular routine,emotional well-being)and constitutional fine-tuning to block disease onset.Congested state,heat state,and stasis state(stages1-3)emphasize"preventing progression at the pre-disease stage"by regulating states through liver-soothing and fat-reducing,heat-clearing and turbidity-resolving,and stasis-dispelling and collateral-dredging interventions.These are combined with precise"disease-target,symptom-target,and biomarker-target"interventions addressing risk factors such as obesity,insulin resistance,and hypertension,thereby intercepting clinical cardiovascular events.Deficiency state(stage 4)centers on"preventing functional decline in established disease"by warming and tonifying the heart and kidneys,eliminating turbidity and toxins,and rescuing collapse and stabilizing depletion,integrated with Western medical approaches to preserve residual function.This five-state system,guided by the principle of"state as the guiding framework with triple-target synergy",establishes an integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine pathway for prevention,control,and treatment,providing an innovative solution for comprehensive and precise management of CKM syndrome.关键词
