Exploring the Historical and Educational Value of Diary Narratives by Party History Figures in the Shanxi-Chahaer-Hebei Resistance against Japanse Aggression Base Area

Abstract
Diaries of historical figures serve as unique textual materials that can function as important resources for historical research and as significant objects of historical study.The Shanxi-Chahaer-Hebei Anti-Japanese Base Area,regarded as a model base during the full-scale War of Resistance Against Japanse Aggression,made substantial contributions to the nationwide victory under the leadership of the Communist Party of China.Prominent Party history figures such as Wang Zifeng,who participated in anti-Japanese activities in the base area,left behind a considerable number of diary documents.These texts reflect the authors'experiences,observations,and reflections during the war.As immediate writings produced in the historical moment,these diaries record historical scenes at that very moment through distinctive personal narratives,offering invaluable historical information.On one hand,they serve as important materials for the study of the history of the War of Resistance Against Japan;on the other hand,the diaries themselves,which mirror the struggles and experiences of Party history figures,can function as significant texts for contemporary Party history learning and education.In summary,while existing research is relatively abundant,there remains a need to further explore the historical and educational value of these Party history figures'diaries.关键词
