The Impact of the Ease Use and Usefulness of AI-Based Learning Assistance Tools on University Students'Learning Engagement

Abstract

AI-based learning assistance tools have gradually become an important means of improving learning efficiency through personalized learning path planning and intelligent feedback mechanisms.However,the mechanisms through which their Perceived Ease of Use(PEU)and Perceived Usefulness(PU)affect students'learning engagement remain insufficiently explored in systematic empirical research.Based on the Technology Acceptance Model(TAM)and the theoretical framework of learning engagement,this study employs a questionnaire survey to explore the influence paths and relative effect strengths of PEU and PU on the cognitive,emotional,and behavioral dimensions of students'learning engagement.Multiple linear regression analysis reveals that both PEU and PU have significant positive effects on all three dimensions of learning engagement,with their influence exhibiting heterogeneous characteristics across dimensions.Further Wald tests indicate that the strengths of the effects of PU and PEU differ significantly in the cognitive and behavioral engagement dimensions,whereas no significant difference is observed in the emotional engagement dimension.
