新质生产力对碳排放效率的影响
The influence of new quality productivity forces on carbon emission efficiency:Evidence from 30 Chinese provinces

Abstract
China is accelerating the cultivation of new quality productivity and striving to advance a comprehensive green transformation of economic and social development.Based on China's provincial panel data from 2010 to 2021,this study analyzes that impact and mechanism of new quality productivity on carbon emission efficiency.The levels of new quality productivity and carbon emission efficiency across regions are measured by using kernel principal component analysis and super-efficiency SBM,followed by panel regression analysis.The study indicates that both new productivity level and carbon emission efficiency in China have shown an overall upward trend.The regional disparities in the development of new productivity have gradually narrowed,whereas those in carbon emission efficiency have expanded.Overall,there exits a positive correlation between new productivity and carbon emission efficiency in general and there are regional differences in the correlation.Mechanism analysis further reveals that the development of new productivity can indirectly improve carbon emission efficiency by enhancing economic agglomeration and promoting the decarbonization of the energy structure.Based on it,it is necessary to deepen institutional reforms in digital,intelligent and sci-tech innovation,strengthen the driving role of technological and digital innovation and promote the synergistic optimization of industrial agglomeration and energy structure.关键词
