中国县城城镇化指数分解及其空间收敛研究
Decomposition of the County Urbanization Index and Its Spatial Convergence in China
摘要
Abstract
Both the Report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the National 14th Five-Year Plan highlight the importance of advancing urbanization with counties as key carriers.Such a strategy is conducive to stimulating domestic demand and boosting development momentum in the short term,while contributing to the optimization of urban-rural spatial patterns,fostering integrated urban-rural development,and supporting the rural revitalization strategy in the long term.This study examines the progression of county-level urbanization by constructing a county urbanization index and conducting an econometric analysis of its spatial convergence.The results indicate that:(1)Economic urbanization is the primary driver of the county urbanization index,though regional contributions vary significantly.Eastern and central regions are predominantly driven by economic urbanization,whereas the western region is more influenced by population and ecological urbanization.(2)The county urbanization index demonstrates significant spatial convergence,particularly in the central and western regions,where convergence rates are relatively high,indicating a more balanced developmental trajectory.(3)Intra-regional disparities are identified as the principal cause of differences in the overall convergence rate.These findings provide a scientific basis for formulating more targeted and effective policies for county-level urbanization,underscoring the need for region-specific and differentiated approaches to promote high-quality urbanization in counties.关键词
