盐城方言单字调调素的音高实验研究
An Experimental Study on the Pitch of Tonemes in Monosyllabic Tones of the Yancheng Dialect

Abstract
The Yancheng dialect features five monosyllabic tones,each exhibiting distinct tonemic manifestations:the Yinping(阴平)tone is HHM,the Yangping(阳平)tone is LLH,the Shangsheng(上声)tone is HHH,the Qusheng(去声)tone is MMH,and the Rusheng(入声)tone is HH.In terms of contour properties,the tonemes display four types of contour patterns:level,rising,concave,and falling.Most tonemes show a level contour,similar to those in Mandarin.However,the final toneme of the Qusheng(去声)tone does not exhibit a level contour,suggesting that the"contour slope strategy"requires further validation with additional experimental data from other dialects.Investigating the tonemes of monosyllabic tones in the Yancheng dialect through experimental methods can test the applicability of toneme theory and advance micro-level research on Chinese tonal systems.关键词
