摘要

Abstract

Corrosion poses a severe challenge to the service life and structural reliability of bridge cables,sig-nificantly limiting the durability and safety of long-span bridges.This paper systematically reviews the charac-teristics and evolutionary mechanisms of corrosion in cables from two perspectives:individual wires and the cable as a whole.It summarizes the degradation patterns of static mechanical properties in corroded bridge cable wires—such as strength,ductility,and elastic modulus—as well as numerical analysis methods and con-stitutive models applicable to corroded wires.Special emphasis is placed on analyzing domestic and international research on the fatigue failure mechanisms,crack propagation behavior,and service life prediction methods of corroded wires.The paper also briefly outlines computational approaches for evaluating the residual load-bearing capacity and predictive models for the remaining service life of corroded cables.Finally,current research gaps are discussed,and future directions are proposed,including accelerated corrosion testing under multi-factor coupling conditions,multi-scale investigation of corrosion damage evolution mechanisms,and the develop-ment of active anti-corrosion techniques.
