Nonlinear dynamic analysis of wound dielectric elastomer actuators under electromechanical coupling excitation

Abstract
As a new type of electroactive polymer intelligent material,dielectric elastomers(DE)can produce significant reversible deformation under the action of an external electric field,achieving efficient conversion of electrical energy into mechanical energy,and showing broad application prospects in multiple engineering fields.In this study,the wound dielectric elastomer actuators widely used in engineering applications are taken as the research object.Based on the Helmholtz free energy theory and the Gent hyperelastic constitutive model,the potential energy expression of the dielectric elastomer system is established.The nonlinear dy-namic control equations of the system are derived through the Lagrangian equation,and a numerical method is used to solve and analyze its dynamic response.Based on the above research,the steady-state response bifurca-tion diagram of the structure under the electromechanical coupling dual-frequency excitation is analyzed,and the evolution law of its nonlinear dynamic characteristics is clarified.To further reveal the nonlinear dynamic behavior of the system,several characteristic frequencies are selected,and the frequency-domain response and time-domain evolution characteristics of the system are analyzed by combining the phase plane method and the Poincaré section method.The research work can provide certain theoretical support for the design of dielectric elastomer actuators and help improve the reliability of the actuators'operation.关键词
