Abstract
This paper focuses on the analysis of the weather causes,rainfall characteristics,flood peak value characteristics,flood process and degree of rare occurrence of the"April 2024"rainstorm flood in Lianjiang,based on the measured once-in-a-century extreme rainstorm flood in the Lianjiang River Basin on April 22,2024.It is found that it has the characteristics of early occurrence,large flood peak magnitude,short interval with the last flood of the same magnitude,and long flood duration.It also introduces the analysis of historical large floods,especially compares the"August 2013"flood and the"June 2022"flood in Lianjiang,and comprehensively summarizes the hydrometeorological data of the"April 2024"once-in-a-century rainstorm flood in Lianjiang River.Through analysis,significant practical experience has been gained in conducting tests for excessive floods in the Lianjiang River Basin,providing valuable information for understanding the characteristics of floods in northern Guangdong.This has important reference value for future flood forecasting in Lianjiang and for carrying out water conservancy project construction management,flood control and disaster reduction work in the later stage of Lianjiang.关键词
