Abstract

Conventional constructed wetlands adopt horizontal design and occupy a large area,while sloping constructed wetlands can effectively reduce land occupation,but there is insufficient understanding of the impact of slope on treatment effectiveness.This study is based on slope constructed wetlands and combined with subsurface flow operation mode.Indoor experiments were conducted to investigate the influence of slope conditions on denitrification efficiency and analyze the sewage purification effect of slope type constructed wetlands.The research results show that the removal rate of ammonia nitrogen,nitrate nitrogen,and total nitrogen in sloping constructed wetlands is 70%~80%,50%~60%,and 60%~70%,respectively.Different slopes have their own advantages in removing different forms of nitrogen.The larger the slope,the higher the removal of ammonia nitrogen,but the lower the removal of nitrate nitrogen.At the same time,the dissolved oxygen concentration decreases with the direction of water flow,and the slope has a certain impact on its concentration distribution.The research results can provide reference for the promotion,application,and management of slope type artificial wetlands.
