摘要

Abstract

[Objective]Gouteng(Uncaria)is a traditional bulk medicinal material in China,which mainly contains alkaloids,flavonoids,triterpenes and other components.It has hypotensive,antioxidant,anti-inflammatory,analgesic,sedative,antiepileptic and antibacterial effects,and is widely used in clinical practice.This study searched and retrieved the research literature on Gouteng from the past 25 years in both home and abroad,constructed the scientific knowledge map and con-ducted visualized analysis.The aim was to identify the research trends,focal points,and emerging directions,thereby establishing a scientific reference for future investigations.[Method]Literature searches were conducted in major domestic and international databases(CNKI,Wanfang,CQVIP,Web of Science)to retrieve the publications related to Gouteng from January 1,2000,to August 31,2024.Initial data deduplication and cleaning were performed using Coocation 14.3(abbreviated as COOC).The processed data were then subjected to multidimensional analyses using VOSviewer and CiteSpace visualization tools.Analyses included annual publication trends,institutional distribu-tions,national/regional contributions,author collaboration networks,and keyword co-occurrence.Subsequent systematic evaluation was conducted to identify the research hotspots and emerging trends in Gouteng research.[Result]Following data cleaning,a total of 4 931 relevant publications were identified.Chinese-language publications predominated with 4 559 publications,exhibiting a fluctuating yet overall increasing trend.Although English-language publications were fewer in num-ber of 372,they still demonstrated consistent annual growth,and with China being the leading con-tributor.The key research institutions were primarily affiliated with the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine and Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine,both showing extensive collaborative networks.The most prolific author in Chinese publications was WU Qin,while WU WanYing was listed the No.1 in English publications.Keyword analyses in both Chinese and English publications indicated that Gouteng-related research primarily focused on chem-ical constituents,pharmacological effects,mechanisms and clinical applications,while limited re-search was found in plant breeding,cultivation,medicinal material harvesting and processing.[Conclusion]Current domestical and international research on Gouteng is on an upward trajectory.The current key research focus on Gouteng is exploration of its molecular mechanisms in treating neurodegenerative diseases,particularly Alzheimer's disease(AD),and its pharmacological activi-ties including anti-tumor effects incorporating modern technologies such as artificial intelligence(AI),molecular docking,molecular dynamics simulations,and metabolomics/proteomics.This represents both the current hotspot and future research trend.Simultaneously,applying modern bio-technology,smart agriculture,and advanced processing technologies to enhance Gouteng cultiva-tion efficiency,medicinal material quality,and batch-to-batch consistency constitutes a critical breakthrough direction for future research.
