Analysis of Spatial Distribution Characteristics and Influencing Factors of Key Villages(Towns)for Rural Tourism in the Yangtze River Economic Belt

Abstract
[Objective]Rural tourism serves as a crucial engine for promoting rural revitaliza-tion,understanding its spatial distribution characteristics and influencing factors is a key to policy-making.This research aimed to explore the spatial distribution patterns and driving mechanisms of rural tourism in the Yangtze River Economic Belt,so as to provide scientific references for optimiz-ing regional resource allocation,promoting integrated urban-rural development,and ensuring sus-tainable development of rural tourism.[Method]Taking 592 national-level key rural tourism villag-es(towns)within the Yangtze River Economic Belt as the research subjects,this research systemati-cally explored their spatial distribution characteristics and influencing factors using ArcGIS spatial analysis and multiple linear regression modeling methods.[Results]ArcGIS spatial analysis re-vealed that the overall distribution direction of key rural tourism villages(towns)in the Yangtze River Economic Belt extends from northwest to southeast,primarily concentrated in the Yangtze River Delta and Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle.The spatial distribution is relatively uneven,with higher density in the downstream areas compared to the middle and upstream regions.Key vil-lages and towns are often located near water bodies,along roads,or near scenic spots—specifical-ly,62.8%are within a 30-kilometer buffer zone of major water systems,63.0%within a 40-kilome-ter buffer zone of major transportation routes,and 86.3%within a 10-kilometer buffer zone of class A scenic spots.[Conclusion]Key villages(towns)for rural tourism in the Yangtze River Economic Belt exhibit distinct cluster-type spatial distribution,with characteristics of"multi-core driving and extending along the river".The spatial distribution is influenced by multiple factors,with water sys-tems,tourism resources,transportation,and leisure facilities having a significant impact.The pro-portion of tertiary industry in GDP exerts a negative effect.[Strategies]Based on the results of Arc-GIS spatial analysis and SPSS regression modeling analysis,this research suggested that the devel-opment of key rural tourism villages(towns)in the Yangtze River Economic Belt should strengthen the radiation effect of core regions such as the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration and the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle.Through demonstration and leadership,coordinated develop-ment in surrounding regions could be achieved,forming a ribbon-like development axis along the main stream of the Yangtze River to achieve regional coordinated development.It was also recom-mended to improve infrastructure,enhance tourism accessibility and service quality,strengthen re-source integration,and cultivate a"tourism+"development model.关键词
