Abstract

To analyze the influence of thermo-mechanical coupling on the load-bearing capacity of casing,finite element method was used to analyze the thermo-mechanical coupling response behavior of P110 perforation casing under various conditions,including different internal-external temperature difference gradients,external collapse pressures,and non-uniform loading.Results demonstrate that,under the same magnitude of temperature difference,the yield strength limits of the casing differ by 8.5%between scenarios of heat transfer from inside to outside and from outside to inside,indicating a significant influence of the temperature difference direction on the casing's stress state.The load-bearing capacity of casing decreases significantly as the non-uniform loading coefficient increases.With 80%increase in non-uniform load,the maximum reduction in casing bearing capacity reaches 29.6%.While both increasing temperature difference and enhanced loading non-uniformity exhibit a similar weakening effect on the casing's bearing capacity,their underlying mechanisms exhibit fundamental differences.These findings provide a theroetical and engineering guidance for safety assessment of casings under complex downhole conditions.
