Abstract
In order to evaluate the impact of the API RP 5C5 CAL Ⅳ cyclic alternating combined load on the sealing performance of the premium connection,based on the Abaqus software,a finite element simulation analysis was conducted on the premium connection according to the test loads of the B series,C series and A series in API RP 5C5 CAL Ⅳ.The results show that the finite element method can simulate the entire loading process of the API RP 5C5 CAL Ⅳ-level test.The cyclic composite load test has a certain impact on the sealing performance of the connection.Among them,the C-series load cycle has the least impact on the reduction of the sealing energy,and the sealing energy multiple is the highest;the sealing energy multiple of the connection under the A-series load reaches the lowest,and it is the potential leakage danger point of this type of connection.The sealing energy multiple is the lowest at the 24"and 25"load points,which is a potential leakage risk point of this type of connection and requires special attention in the test.It is suggested that for the new entry specifications of some premium connection family that have been verified by API RP 5C5 CAL Ⅳ test,simplified API RP 5C5 gas sealing test can be conducted.This can represent the gas sealing performance of these connections while saving time and costs for both the oilfield and the manufacturer to certain extent.关键词
