Preparation of Oxidized Hyaluronic Acid Crosslinked Carbohydrazide-Gelatin/Cysteine-Chitosan Composite Hydrogel With pH-Responsive and Antioxidant Properties

Abstract
To enhance the biological functionality of natural polymer hydrogels,a pH-responsive composite hydrogel was designed and constructed based on oxidized hyaluronic acid(OHA),cysteine-grafted chitosan(CSCys),and carbonyl hydrazide-modified gelatin(Gel-CDH).The hydrogel achieved dynamic covalent crosslinking through Schiff base reactions between aldehyde groups and amino/hydrazide groups to form a sta-ble and tunable three-dimensional network structure.By adjusting the OH A ratio,three types of hydrogels were prepared,and their swelling behavior in relation to pH values as well as antioxidant activity were system-atically evaluated.The results showed that this composite hydrogel not only exhibited excellent pH responsive-ness but also demonstrated superior free radical scavenging capability due to the synergistic effects of functional groups such as thiol groups.关键词
