Abstract

Saline-alkali water resources are widely distributed in China,especially in sulfate-type saline-alkali areas.In summer,the culture pond is easy to form cyanobacteria blooms dominated by microcystis.Algicidal bacteria can inhibit the growth of algae or kill algae cells directly or indirectly and have become a promising method for purifying eutrophic water.Bacillus cereus CZBC1 can directly or indirectly dissolve Oscillatoria planctonica,Oscillatoria chlorine,Oscillatoria tenuis,and so on.However,there is no research report on the effect of algicidal bacteria on harmful microalgae such as Microcystis in saline-alkali environment.The study selected Bacillus cereus CZBC1 to explore its algicidal effect on Microcystis aeruginosa in sulfate-type saline-alkali water.Two initial algae concentrations of 105 cell·mL-1 and 106 cell·mL-1 were set,and four groups were set for each algae concentration:control group(CG),sterile filtrate group(SFG),bacterial group(BG)and bacterial solution group(BSG).The algicidal effects of different groups of strain CZBC1 on M.aeruginosa at different initial algae concentrations were studied.The results showed that the strain CZBC1 had both direct and indirect ways of dissolving microalgae,which could deform,fade or break its algae cells,and it had a good algicidal effect in sulfate-type saline-alkali water.When the initial algae concentration was 105 cell·mL-1,the highest rate of algae dissolution reached more than 99%in BSG and BG.When the initial algae concentration was 106 cell·mL-1,algae-dissolving rate was more than 91%in BSG.On the 6th day,the amount of B.cereus in the initial microalgal concentration of 105 cell·mL-1 group was significantly higher than that in the initial microalgal concentration of 106 cell·mL-1 group(P<0.05).To prevent and control microcystis blooms in sulfate-type saline-alkali ponds,it is recommended to give priority to prevention,activate and apply algicidal bacteria CZBC1 regularly.
