Abstract

Aiming at the problems of low tide relaxation drift and high tide tension overload faced by a single catenary mooring system in the sea area with large tidal range,a hybrid mooring system with segmented counterweight was proposed to improve the adaptability of the sea drifting garbage collection device to the high tidal range.By arranging ballast blocks in sections in the combined structure of geared anchor chains and polyester cables,three mooring schemes were constructed,and a coupled numerical model of wind,wave flow,buoy,and mooring was established based on finite element method(FEM),and the mooring positioning ability and applicability of the hybrid mooring system under wind and wave flow under different tide levels and load directions were explored.Results show that the maximum difference in the motion response amplitude of the three mooring forms is within 20%,and the drift distance of the hybrid mooring system at low tide level does not exceed 9.3%of the length of the device.The orientation angle of the device does not exceed 5%of the initial orientation,and the positioning capacity is closely related to the number of transverse cables.The maximum difference between the low tide and high tide bollard tension is not more than 221%,and the high tide bollard tension reaches 150 kN,which is within the controllable range.
