摘要
Abstract
In the 20th century, the Pop Architecture advocated by Reyner Banham stood in stark contrast to the dominant Modernist architecture, challenging established standards of architectural evaluation and entrenched discursive authority. This paper conceptualizes architecture as a medium of communication and employs Media Field Theory to analyze Pop Architecture from the dimensions of field, capital, and habitus. It provides a comprehensive study of the processes of design, dissemination, and consumption, and examines the interactions among designers, architecture, and audiences.Drawing on concrete cases, the paper elucidates the underlying reasons why Pop Architecture resonates with public needs, embraces advanced technologies, and facilitates effective information dissemination, while also offering critical reflections.关键词
