The Dilemmas and Solutions of National Common Language Education in Rural Kindergartens in Ethnic Regions:A Study Based on the"One Village,One Kindergarten"in G County,Liangshan Prefecture

Abstract
Based on field research of the"One Village,One Preschool"project in County G of Liangs-han Yi Autonomous Prefecture,this paper systematically analyzes the current situation,challenges,and optimization approaches for national common language education in rural kindergartens of ethnic regions.The study finds that while progress has been made in"preschool Mandarin promotion"during this critical period for language acquisition,three major issues persist:weak language expression skills among chil-dren(manifested through inaccurate pronunciation,limited vocabulary,and unstandardized grammar);overly formalized teaching approaches(with excessive emphasis on pinyin and literacy instruction);and dual deficiencies in teaching staff.The underlying causes include:insufficient educational resources(lack of modern teaching equipment and localized curricula),inadequate professional competence among teachers(low educational qualifications and ineffective training),and deficient language environments(dominance of ethnic minority languages in households and communities,absence of collaborative mecha-nisms among kindergartens,families,and communities).Four targeted strategies are proposed:upgra-ding multimedia teaching facilities;developing curricula aligned with ethnic children's life experiences;implementing tiered teacher training(focusing on Mandarin proficiency and play-based teaching skills);and establishing a tripartite language ecosystem(kindergarten-family-community).The study under-scores that sustainable improvement in ethnic minority children's Putonghua acquisition hinges not mere-ly on classroom instruction but on transforming the broader sociolinguistic environment in which early childhood education is embedded.关键词
