Abstract
Objective:To explore the comparative study of masticatory function recovery effect between personalized complete denture based on digital biological function repair system and traditional denture in elderly patients.Methods:Eld-erly patients with denture repair admitted from October 2023 to July 2024 were included.According to different repair regi-mens,the patients were divided into traditional group(traditional method to repair complete denture)and biological group(personalized complete denture based on digital biological function repair system),30 patients in each group.The total effec-tive rate after 1 year of repair and incidence rates of complications during repair,the alveolar bone resorption and masticatory function(bite force,masticatory efficiency)before repair and after 6 months and 1 year of repair,denture tenderness point count and satisfaction scores after 1 year of repair were compared between the two groups.Results:After 1 year of repair,the total effective rate of biological denture restoration(90.00%)was significantly higher than that of the traditional group(66.67%)(P<0.05).Within 1 year after repair,the incidence of complications in the biological group was significantly low-er at 10.00%compared to the traditional group at 33.33%(P<0.05).After 6 months and 1 year of repair,the traditional group showed a significant increase in alveolar bone resorption height(P<0.05),while the biological group showed no statis-tically significant difference at 6 months(P>0.05).After 1 year,the bone resorption height increased significantly compared to before repair(P<0.05),and the alveolar bone resorption length in the traditional group was significantly higher than that in the biological group after 6 months and 1 year of repair(P<0.05).The bite force and masticatory efficiency in the two groups were significantly increased after 6 months and 1 year of repair(P<0.05),and the indexes in biological group were significantly higher than those in traditional group(P<0.05).After 1 year of repair,the denture tenderness point count in bio-logical group was significantly lower(P<0.05).The satisfaction scores(aesthetics,language expression,masticatory function,retention stability,comfort)in biological group after 1 year of repair were significantly higher than those in traditional group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Compared with traditional complete denture repair,personalized complete denture repair based on digital biological function repair system can significantly restore the masticatory function in elderly patients,and delay the bone resorption,with high patient satisfaction and few denture tenderness and complications.关键词
