高温煤焦油-焦油渣复合黏结剂制备高收率优质净水用煤质柱状活性炭的研究
Preparation of coal-based columnar activated carbon with balanced yield and adsorption performance using composite binder of high-temperature coal tar-tar residue

Abstract
Most coal-based columnar activated carbon use high-temperature coal tar as binder,which not only increases production costs but also affects yield and quality during the carbonization and activation processes,significantly limiting the development of coal-based columnar activated carbon.This study prepared coal-based columnar activated carbon with high yield and good adsorption using anthracite coal powder as the raw material and a composite binder consisting of coal tar and tar residue.Through single-factor experiments and response surface methodology,the effects of the composite binder ratio,composite binder dosage,forming pressure,and carbonization temperature on the yield and adsorption performance of coal-based columnar activated carbon were investigated.The results showed that the optimal process conditions for preparing coal-based columnar activated carbon with balanced yield and adsorption performance were determined through single-factor experiments and response surface methodology.Specifically,under the conditions of a coal tar-to-tar residue ratio of 1.8∶1,a binder dosage of 23%,a forming pressure of 34 MPa,and a carbonization temperature of 620℃,the yield of coal-based columnar activated carbon reached 57.81%±0.87%.Its iodine adsorption value and methylene blue adsorption value were 918±18 mg/g and(196±4)mg/g,respectively,meeting the requirements of the National Standard for Coal-Based Granular Activated Carbon for Water Purification(GB/T 7701-2008).Among the factors studied,the composite binder ratio had the most significant effect on the yield of coal-based columnar activated carbon,followed by carbonization temperature,binder dosage,and forming pressure.Under the optimal conditions,the coal-based columnar activated carbon exhibited a specific surface area of 1 136.9 m2/g,an average pore diameter of 2.288 2 nm,and a pore volume of 0.650 4 cm3/g,demonstrating excellent potential for water treatment applications.关键词
