Abstract

Aiming at the significant challenges faced by traditional neutral point grounding methods in the case of increasing capacitive current in the distribution network,a feasibility study on the neutral point ungrounded method for 10 kV substation with excessive capacitive current is carried out.Firstly,a simulation model of the substation with excessive capacitive current is established.Secondly,the neutral point grounding methods are set as ungrounded and grounded through the arc suppression coil,and the single-phase grounding fault and intermittent arc grounding fault of the distribution network are simulated by modifying the parameters such as the fault point transition resistance.Finally,the fault current,fault voltage and other data from the aspect of safety and stability are compared and analyzed.The results show that the neutral point ungrounded mode is convenient for quickly selecting the fault lines using fault current and voltage data,and there is no threat of high-amplitude arc overvoltage.It is recommended to be listed as one of the reference operation modes of the substation with excessive capacitive current.The data and conclusions obtained can provide a theoretical reference for the transformation of the neutral point grounding mode of the distribution network.
