Application of Improved Firefly Algorithm in Collaborative Scheduling of IoT Edge Computing Tasks

Abstract
In order to solve the problem that the current algorithms are difficult to capture the information transmis-sion and attenuation between IoT tasks when facing high-dimensional and nonlinear tasks,a collaborative scheduling method was proposed for IoT edge computing tasks based on an improved firefly algorithm.A delay-minimization objec-tive function and corresponding constraints were established for IoT edge computing task collaborative scheduling.By itera-tively calculating the optimal solution of the objective function using the improved firefly algorithm,the attenuation degree of information transmission among IoT tasks was accurately captured,thereby identifying a superior collaborative schedul-ing strategy.Through optimization of the objective function with the improved firefly algorithm,the optimal collaborative scheduling strategy for IoT edge computing tasks was ultimately obtained.Through experimental verification,this method can effectively stabilize the total delay within 0.4 s,task rejection rate within 0.7%,and IoT resource utilization rate above 97%under the case of a large number of IoT terminal devices,which effectively improves the efficiency of IoT task data processing and contributes to the stability of the IoT system.关键词
