Abstract
In the variable costs of aluminum electrolysis, the cost of carbon anodes accounts for approximately 12%~15%of the total variable costs. The production of one ton of aluminum requires the consumption of 450 to 500 kg of carbon anodes. The residual anode, which is the remaining part of the carbon anode block after use in the electrolytic cell, varies with the upper shape mechanism of the anode, the height of the anode, and the anode replacement cycle. It directly affects the gross consumption index of the anode. The weight of the residual anode not only directly impacts the production cost of electrolytic aluminum but also affects economic benefits. For every 1 kg/t-Al reduction in gross anode consumption, the economic benefit increases by approximately 5 yuan/t-Al.Additionally,the re-entry of residual anodes into the anode production process increases the cost of remanufacturing and the loss of asphalt. Therefore, reducing the gross consumption of carbon anodes can effectively lower the production cost of electrolytic aluminum and enhance the economic benefits of the enterprise. This paper proposes changing the anode structure from a trapezoidal platform to a circular platform to reduce the weight of the anode when it is installed, thereby decreasing the weight of the residual anode after use and ultimately reducing the gross anode consumption.关键词
