Reclaiming the masses:the reconstruction of farmers'subjectivity in village-level women's federations and rural governance

Abstract
The village-level women's Federation is an important organization that brings rural women into the participation of ru-ral governance.The key to activating the participation of rural women in governance is to cultivate the subjectivity of farmers.Farmers'subjectivity includes four dimensions:consciousness subjectivity,action subjectivity,public subjectivity and develop-ment subjectivity.Consciousness subjectivity is embodied in farmers'awareness of their rights and roles,and action subjectivity is shown in farmers'active participation in various rural construction activities.Public subjectivity is reflected in farmers'active par-ticipation in the management of rural public affairs;development subjectivity is manifested in farmers'active planning for the long-term development of the countryside and the improvement of their self-development capabilities.Village-level women's federa-tions reshape the subjectivity of farmers through propaganda and education,consultation and mobilization,exemplary encourage-ment and sustainable development mechanisms.Strengthening mass participation is the basic premise for activating the subjectivi-ty of women's federations.The foundation for the construction of subjectivity lies in the fact that women's federations bring farm-ers into the governance field by integrating them into the governance system.The practice of governance functions is the key ele-ment in reshaping the subjectivity of farmers.By transforming governance concepts into practical actions,and shaping farmers'subjectivity through concrete governance practices.关键词
