Solving the dilemma of elderly care:the location differences and internal mechanism of the construc-tion of China's elderly care service system

Abstract
Clarifying the difficulties faced by elderly in the rural areas of different regions in terms of their old age care and con-struction targeted service systems for elderly care is an important aspect of improving the elderly care service system.Due to the varying levels of economic development in different regions,which are influenced by the proximity to market centers,there are ec-onomically underdeveloped regions and economically developed regions.The economically underdeveloped regions,represented by rural areas in central and western China,have a"part-time work and part-time farming"family division of labor due to their re-mote location from market centers.As a result,these families have weak accumulation capabilities and limited support for the old-age care of younger elderly individuals.However,since there are family members working in the village,they can meet the care needs of older individuals.In contrast,economically developed regions,represented by rural areas in eastern China,have a"work-oriented"family division of labor due to the proximity to market centers.These families have strong accumulation capabili-ties and sufficient economic resources for the old-age care of older individuals.However,due to the high level of participation in the family labor market and the lack of flexibility in terms of time,it is challenging to meet the care needs of older individuals in these regions.The difficulties faced by younger elderly individuals in economically underdeveloped regions and older individuals in economically developed regions are significant challenges in the old-age care of different regions.Therefore,rural areas in dif-ferent regions should construct village-community mutual aid elderly care service systems and multi-level market elderly care ser-vice systems to improve their elderly care service capabilities.关键词
