摘要

Abstract

Water electrolysis for hydrogen production provides a promising pathway for zero emission hydrogen production,but the low efficiency of anodic oxygen evolution reaction reduces the efficiency of hydrogen production.Coupling water electrolysis for hydrogen production with the oxidation process of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural(HMF)can utilize the better kinetic characteristics of organic matter oxidation,reduce energy consumption and improve the efficiency of the coupling system,while generating high-value chemical 2,5-furandicarboxylic acid(FDCA).As a potential substitute for petroleum derived terephthalic acid,FDCA is used in the production of biodegradable polymers such as poly(2,5-furandicarboxylate).This review aims to focus on the latest progress and challenges in the development of Ni-Co based catalysts for hydrogen production through water electrolysis coupled with HMF oxidation,providing a theoretical basis and innovative perspective for future research and applications.
