Research on Breakthrough Scientific Innovation:Connotations,Progress,and Prospects

Abstract
[Purpose/Significance]Breakthrough scientific innovation is the core driver of technological progress and socio-economic development.Clarifying its concept,assessing existing research progress and issues,and exploring future research directions can provide valuable guidance for further studies in this field.[Method/Process]This study used litera-ture review methods to analyze the conceptual differences between breakthrough scientific innovation and related concepts,systematically reviews the research status of its identification methods and generation mechanisms,and summarizes the limitations and shortcomings of existing research.[Result/Conclusion]Research on the identification methods of break-through scientific innovation predominantly focused on identifying key papers and themes,with significant attention given to evaluating these methods.The pathways through which different types of breakthrough scientific innovation emerge vary,and current studies primarily emphasize the roles of knowledge sources and research teams.Potential directions for break-through scientific innovation research include:shifting the research perspective from fields to problem domains,evolving research data from single data sources to multi-source data,transitioning research methods from basic quantitative analysis to the application of intelligent technologies,and extending research questions from historical retrospection to the explora-tion of spillover effects.关键词
